When to use this tool
For an upload size requirement, lock the aspect ratio and enter one side in pixels. A 1200 × 800 image becomes 600 × 400 when width is set to 600.
File workflow example
This illustrates the expected operation. Actual file size, quality and recognition depend on your source and settings; inspect the result in the tool.
Example input
1200 × 800 px · w=600
Example result
600 × 400 px · PNG
How to read and check the result
Output is PNG; enlarging does not recover missing detail. Byte size does not decrease in a fixed ratio to pixel count, so inspect the result size too. For a byte target, use the target-size compressor.
